I’m facing a situation I’ve never come across before.
My apologies if this has already been discussed; I haven’t been able to find anything on it.

Basically, I’d like to buy a Staff to replace my own.
I already have 10 in stock (the limit is 12, I think). When I go to the Staff list and look at the list of available ones, everything’s fine. But as soon as I select the ‘Transferable’ ones, I get a message saying ‘Unable to carry out a transfer at the moment’.

Is there a minimum time between two purchases? (I bought my first staff member this morning, and I’m having this issue with the second purchase.)
It’s not a space issue, as I can recruit free agents – it works when I click to recruit them; I’ve tested it.
Have you experienced this issue?

Hello, yes, that happens when you’ve bought two staff members within a short period of time (less than 24 hours, I think).

In that case, you’re locked out and can’t access the list for 24 hours from the time of your last purchase (I think).

Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. This is what I’ve observed from experience, but I’m not 100% sure about the figures I’ve given.

That’s the main theory my colleague and I came up with.
Which might be surprising. This measure would make sense if it were aimed at combating the transfer of funds via STAFF.
But as the restrictions have been lifted, simply signing a free agent would allow funds to be transferred…
So this restriction is no longer necessary, or at least I can’t see the point of it – I’m stumped.

So, I’ll wait until tomorrow, or else it might still be possible to get round it by signing the released STAFF member (and paying the sum via the partner bank).
It’s a bit of a faff.
