The stats become balanced as if nothing had happened.
The VF engine must have put in a patch while I was watching.

I dominated the attack at the end of the match but nothing helped.
Normally, it's a foretold robbery, an avalanche of chances.
But no! I had 3 chances in the match

Unfortunately, VF is still based on stats.
Your stats were more or less equal from the start.
After the injury, his midfield rating was higher than yours (mainly due to the midfield stats of the 3 CSAs). And as he was slightly dominating you in attack too, that opened the door to goal-scoring opportunities. After that, scoring 3 goals depends on chance and your keeper's stats. The fact that you didn't create any chances (few chances = 0 goals) comes from his slight domination in midfield and his stronger defence.
