Over the last few days, a double fraud has been taking place on the game, consisting of exploiting a bug in the VF Store to obtain "regen" players illegitimately at the expense of legitimate managers, and hijacking the payment system.

With regard to the first aspect of this fraud, after analysing the game's activity logs and discussions between managers, it appears that this approach was deliberate and without any desire to help the administration team identify the problem. The bug was identified and corrected, and the main people responsible for the misdeeds were blocked as a result.

Victims of this cheating are invited to make themselves known to the game's administration team. They will then be entitled to compensation in the form of credits and VF cash for the damage they have suffered.

Individuals are not the only ones who will have to bear the consequences of their actions. The Ententes are among the other beneficiaries of these sporting advantages conferred by the cheating of their members. As a result, the following sanctions have been imposed: Withdrawal of 30 points from the Entente rankings for Season 142 for Entente La Légion Romaine.

The second aspect of this fraud concerns the VF Store payment system, in particular Paypal. This abuse consists of stopping payments made by claiming not to have been able to take advantage of the service purchased, even though these services have in fact been consumed. This type of scam was popularised on Amazon a few years ago. The decision to permanently cancel these payments now rests with Paypal. Despite the proof of use of the various VF Store functions provided to Paypal, it is quite possible that these objections will result in the payments being cancelled, which would mean that the fraudster would have been able to take advantage of the VF Store without having to pay.

As this is not the first time that this type of fraud has been observed on the part of the same person, I have in the meantime been able to set up a collective debt repayment system, triggered on a very exceptional basis. Given the current circumstances, I have decided to activate this mechanism in order to protect Virtuafoot from fraud. This system takes the form of a collective pool of VF Store credits, accessible only to the fraudster's fellow members, in this case the members of the Roman Legion. They will then be invited to repay the debt left by their comrade before the expiry date of 19 August 2025. If the debt is not repaid in full by the due date, all contributors will be reimbursed immediately and the Roman Legion agreement will be dissolved. In the event that the aforementioned payment oppositions result in a favourable outcome for Virtuafoot, the amount of the prize pool will be adjusted downwards, and if this amount becomes less than what has already been contributed, members will be reimbursed the surplus in proportion to their contribution.
