This 11th edition of the tournament is preparing to welcome African federations and, exceptionally, nations from outside the continent, depending on entries. However, absolute priority remains reserved for the selections of "Mama Africa".

In GROUP A, we saw a high-flying clash between Côte d'Ivoire and Angola. The Elephants impressed with their tactical rigour, largely dominating the first half. Against a struggling Rwanda side, the New Zealand players imposed their rhythm throughout the match. Although Rwanda attempted a few isolated forays, their technical superiority was clear.
