Hello everyone,

I'd like to share an idea that I think could add a bit more fun to vf, and at the same time create more excitement around the VF Champions League: setting up a prediction system around it.

The idea would be to allow all managers to predict the results of VFL Champions League matches, with a points system (for example three points if the score is correct, 1 if the correct winner is chosen) and an automatic ranking at the end of each matchday.

To take part, you could either put in everything for free or, for example, pay 50k to take part in one day and the 3 on the day's podium would share all the stakes or something like that.

That's it, I may not realise the scale of the project, but it's just a proposal after all :p

I think it's an excellent idea. I'd already suggested it to Aymeric on a discord debate... he wasn't particularly against it. It would make it possible to create a community data base and compare the results generated by the match engine with the average predictions of the community... so yes... it would also make it possible to identify the discrepancies between the collective logic and the simulated result... after all, it all depends on the number of predictions. Ideally, there should be a maximum number of voters and this should be implemented from the Round of 32 onwards...

On the other hand, you can create a ranking just for fun, without generating any profits

Yes, we'll need as many participants as possible, but I'm not too sure about that, to be honest. And yes, start in the round of 32, given the number of matches to predict, that's where the gaps will be.
Yes, of course for the prizes, it could very well be done without them, that would be great, but if there could ever be prizes that could also be cool and I think it would maximise participation
