هناك 13 ساعةNothing to do with football, but I wanted to talk about the death of Castres Olympique winger Josaia Raisuqe (Rugby à XV)
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josaia_Raisuqe
I'm not going to write his obituary here, as that's already been done by the sporting press, but I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about a very likeable character whom I've had the chance to get to know over the last few years.
Josh was the very stereotype of a Fijian: funny, relaxed, sometimes a little irresponsible, but a wise man who knew how to advise the other members of his community. My children met him last year and were scared of him ^^ but at the end of the match he took the time to come back and take a selfie with them. A selfie that he never sent to me because, once again, that's how Fijians are!
Today, Josh arrived a little late for training. As he often does. He'd forgotten something at home so he got in his car to go back there because, with just a few weeks to go before his departure, he didn't want his bonus to go up. When he arrived at the railway gates, he decided to go through anyway, despite the alarm. The train hit him and he died instantly. He was 30 years old. He left behind a pregnant wife, devastated friends and a whole town in tears.
Ciao friend, BULA'RE as we say in Fiji! Wherever you go, I hope there's kava, sunshine, Fijian vibes and an oval ball. We'll miss you
